BE A PART OF DRILL'S 2017 MAJOR WORK

DRILL's next major dance work with young people, Cold Omens, is here and we're looking for dancers aged 14 to 30 to form our 2017 senior company.

DRILL creates new, site-specific contemporary dance works with local young movers, including our 2015 seasons Radical Kid (recipient of the Tasmanian Theatre Awards for Best Production and Best Choreography) and most recently, Trash This Place in October 2016.

Cold Omens will be a full-length work choreographed by DRILL Artistic Director Joshua Lowe and explores our reckless use of resources and disregard for nature and in the face a dying planet. Set in the colossal SeaRoads Shed in Macquarie Point, this will be DRILL's largest work to date. Dancers will work alongside Josh to develop and create the work in the studio from March before moving to the site for the season in August. Being a company member also includes regular class and training opportunities.
