DANCE NEXUS

Running annually since 2015, Dance Nexus is DRILL’s combined schools’ program which provides young participants with an opportunity to develop personal skills including creativity, confidence, collaboration skills, resilience, curiosity, and physical activity.

In lutruwita/Tasmania, access to contemporary dance is limited, particularly for young people of low socioeconomic status. The schools we collaborate with for Dance Nexus are in low socioeconomic areas. DRILL aims to provide an accessible quality arts experience within a school setting where there is no additional commitment or transport required for families. We go to where the young people are – and aim to provide a meaningful arts experience.
